Writing Team

Our Writing Team is where creativity and talent meets story and experience. Our team of writers channel their experiences with chronic illness into articles and blog posts that uplift, challenge, and pour into our readers.

Members of our Writing Team have a bold voice and a unique perspective. They come up with ideas for new topics and articles, interview special guests, coordinate through the editing process, contribute their voices in our social media captions, and write insightful articles and blog posts.

Writing Team members are excellent writers, open to feedback, and reliable with deadlines and follow-through. They’re expected to see their projects through, start to finish, from the initial topic ideation to being published on our site.

TIME REQUIREMENT:

We expect all of our team members to volunteer a minimum of 1 hour every week, and invite volunteers to take 30-day breaks as needed.

Fundraising Team

Our Fundraising Team is more like a FUN-raising team. They’re our resourceful, creative, strategic team that’s passionate about our mission, and determined to make sure that People Hope has the support to keep serving our chronically ill community. This amazing team works together to make sure our fundraising events feel like a party you don’t want to miss! They come up with new ideas and execute the projects that keep us going year-round.

Members of our Fundraising Team do “a little of this and a little of that” depending on what events or projects we’re cookin’ up! They help us coordinate Giving Tuesday and the Hope-a-thon, write “thank you” notes to donors, research giveaway prizes, meet with people locally about our organization, and so much more.

Fundraising Team members believe deeply in our mission, and are determined and resourceful; willing to pitch in where they’re needed and not afraid to ask for donations and support!

Members of our Mod Squad are responsible for overseeing our group one day a week—posting uplifting content, interacting with members of our Fam, and addressing any problematic content that breaks any of our group guidelines and rules.

Our team of moderators are highly dependable, committed folks who are empathetic and care deeply about our Fam. They’re authentic, come-as-you-are, bold servant leaders who are willing to share their growth process through each month’s theme.
